KUPANG, 2022. In the midst of intense attention from all parties on the incidence of stunting in Indonesia. PTTEP, in collaboration with the Setwapres and the Province of East Nusa Tenggara, since February 2020, has been committed to being a part that contributes directly to the effort to reduce the stunting prevalence rate. Multi-stakeholder involvement is a program approach as directed by RAN PASTI (Action Plan for the Acceleration of Stunting Prevention) which was initiated by the BKKBN, as the Implementing Coordinator of the Stunting Reduction Program in Indonesia.

Through the implementers of the Dompet Dhuafa program and the Regional Governments of Kupang Regency, South Central Timor Regency, and North Central Timor Regency, program activities with a convergence action approach to specific interventions and sensitive interventions, have been running for 2 years, recording several program outputs.

"In its implementation, we are not alone, together with posyandu cadres, village midwives, village fathers, and puskesmas officers, Dompet Dhuafa routinely conducts program assistance activities". Said Herdiansah, Director of Dompet Dhuafa Social Enterprise. Routine posyandu monitoring, home visits for pregnant women and children with growth disorders, routine health education and counseling, Supplementary Food Provision, are examples of activities that actually drive convergence action in the village scope, the scope of which is in direct contact with the program beneficiaries.

According to the Head of Bappeda Kupang Regency, Marthen Adry Rahakbauw, the trend of decreasing prevalence in Kupang Regency is quite progressive, this spirit needs to be maintained as an effort to present healthy and strong human resources, and achieve the target set by the central government, namely the stunting prevalence rate of 14 % in 2024.

PTTEP's involvement in the stunting prevention partnership is taken seriously. At each stage of the activity, PTTEP is involved in its activities. "We continue to monitor and have intensive discussions with stakeholders of the stunting prevention partnership program, regarding outputs, recommendations, and follow-up. We hope that what we are doing will provide broad and sustainable benefits," said Irwan Mardelis, Public Affairs PTTEP Indonesia.

This collaboration becomes a lesson learning for all parties. The Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia hopes that what has been and is currently being done can be continued, so that the existing achievements can be improved. "This is something good and needs to be continued, which should be the concern of all parties, we hope that the reduction in stunting prevalence can be achieved in the future," said Koko Haryono, from the Deputy for Human Development Policy Support and Development Equity, Setwapres.
