PTTEP Indonesia has reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian action by providing assistance to communities affected by flooding in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. The humanitarian donation was channelled through the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), supporting its ongoing disaster response and relief operations across the impacted regions.

This contribution forms part of PTTEP Indonesia’s continued support for PMI’s humanitarian mission in responding swiftly and effectively to natural disasters, while helping affected communities recover and rebuild their lives.

The official handover of the donation took place on 23 December 2025 at the PMI Head Office in Jakarta. The event was attended by Grinchai Hattagam, General Manager of PTTEP Indonesia; Asmawi Syam, Head of PMI Central Disaster Management Division; Tri Bowo Budi Santoso, Member of PMI Central Management; Arifin Muhammad, Head of PMI Central Headquarters; Puji Astuti, Deputy Head of PMI Central Headquarters; and Ridwan S. Grinchai Hattagam, General Manager of PTTEP Indonesia, stated that the company remains committed to supporting communities affected by natural disasters through trusted humanitarian partners.

“PTTEP Indonesia believes that being a responsible corporate citizen means standing with communities in times of need,” said Grinchai Hattagam. “Through our collaboration with PMI, we hope this assistance can help alleviate the immediate impact of the floods and support ongoing recovery efforts for affected communities in Sumatra. We highly appreciate PMI’s dedication and swift response in delivering humanitarian aid on the ground.”

During the handover ceremony, PMI representatives expressed their sincere appreciation for PTTEP Indonesia’s trust and support. The donation will be utilized to strengthen PMI’s comprehensive disaster response services for flood-affected communities, including evacuation and first aid operations, emergency relief distribution and public kitchens, health and ambulance services, provision of clean water and sanitation facilities, as well as psychosocial support for affected individuals and families.

“PMI has been present on the ground since the first day the flood disaster struck Sumatra,” said Asmawi Syam, Head of PMI Central Disaster Management Division. “At present, PMI continues to deliver assistance to flood victims in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. Our services and aid distribution efforts will continue over the coming year to ensure communities receive sustained support throughout the recovery phase.”
