Thai Ambassador to Indonesia visited Integrated Waste Management Learning Center in NTT

On August 25, 2026, Ambassador Prapan Disyatat, accompanied by his spouse, visited the Integrated Waste Management Learning Center in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province. This social development program is developed by PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) Indonesia Office.
Launched in 2024, the project supports the government's agenda to address the rising volume of waste from tourism growth in Labuan Bajo, NTT. PTTEP Indonesia collaborated with the Coordinating Ministry for Food Security, local government agencies, and PT Inovasi Gerakan Masyarakat (PT Ingram) to implement the project to educate the community and promote behavioral changes - specifically encouraging waste sorting for recycling and deliver to waste banks thereby generating community income, reducing burden of government in collecting the waste, and promoting environmental conservation through proper waste management.
In 2026, the project was further strengthened with the establishment of an organic waste processing facility and learning center. This facility not only manages organic waste through practical methods - such as processing it into value-added products like Black Soldier Fly larvae and compost - but also serves as a hub for community learning and training, while promoting circular economy practices at the local level.
